102 new COVID cases in Pune city today, total tally stand at 3598
Pune, May 18, 2020: As per the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) report, 102 fresh Coronavirus positive patients were reported in the city today. Also, 49 people were discharged after being cured, while five patients died.
According to PMC, the total number of COVID19 patients has reached 3598 since March 9 when the first cases were detected. Out of 3598 patients, 1800 have been cured while 199 have lost their lives. There are still 1599 active patients in different hospitals. They include 148 critical patients including 50 who are on ventilator support.
The five deceased persons include four men and one woman. They were in the age group of 43 to 75 years. They were residents of Camp, Hadapsar, Sahakarnagar, Tadiwala Road and Market yard. Today swab samples of 1419 persons were collected for testing. Till now 32,336 samples have been checked.
