104 fresh cases of COVID19 in Pune district today total tally reaches 1595

Pune, April 29, 2020: There were 104 fresh cases of Coronavirus positive patients in Pune district till 9 pm today, as per the Pune district health officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar. Till now a total of 268 patients have been cured while 86 patients have died. 

 

There are 28 patients from Cantonment boards while 42 are from Pune rural areas. There were a rise of 93 patients in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) areas taking the total tally in Pune city to 1432 which includes 81 dead and 230 cured patients. 

 

According to PMC officials till 9 pm today, two patients died during treatment while 27 patients including four senior citizens were discharged after being cured. There are still 1121 active patients including 70 critical patients. A woman corporator and her husband, as well as woman head constable of Pune CID, was also detected COVID19 positive.

During the day, 8 new patients of Corona were found in Pimpri Chinchwad city. 4 patients are residents of Pune. The total number of positive patients in PCMC areas has reached 115 including 5 from Pune. Also, 35 patients have been cured and discharged till now while 4 patients have died including one from Pune. Today four patients were discharged. There are still 67 active patients in PCMC, while 10 residents of PCMC are undergoing treatment elsewhere.

 

After Pimprigaon and Kalewadi phata, now some parts of Pimplenilakh have been sealed from 11 pm today (Wednesday) after a positive patient was detected in the area. PCMC has sealed areas from SS Furniture – Gurudutt Medical – Bhaurao Kamte Chowk – PCMC water tank – Jai Malhar Mess – Babasaheb Ambedkar road – Kamble properties, Panchsheel Nagar bus stop – Kunal Heights society – SS Furniture. 

 

In Khadki cantonment board (KCB) area, a 50-year-old woman from Khadki Bazaar police line died while undergoing treatment at YCM Hospital in Pimpri. One seven-year-old boy tested positive today. The total number of patients in the KCB area has reached 17 including two dead and one cured patient. 

 

Health minister Rajesh Tope said that the current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 9915. Today, newly 597 patients have been identified as positive for Covid19. From these,1593 Covid19 patients have been cured and discharged from the respective hospitals. Currently, 1,62,860 people are in-home quarantine and 10,813 people are in institutional quarantine.

 

Across India there were 1813 new cases and 71 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the total number of COVID19 positive cases in India has reached 31787 (including 22982 active cases, 1008 deaths, 7797 cured/discharged and 1 migrated), said Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
