107 CCTV Cameras To Be Installed In Pune Railway Station Premises

Pune, 29th April 2022: Railways have decided to set up additional 107 CCTC cameras in Pune Station premises for security purposes and crime detection, informed RPF Senior Inspector BS Raghuwanshi. A total of 118 cameras will be operational within four months.

 

Currently, 61 cameras are operational and 50 of them will be replaced as they were 6-7 years old.

 

“We will ensure that every area of Pune Station is covered by CCTV cameras. We are conducting a daily awareness program at Pune railway station. The cameras help us detection of theft and other cases”, he added.

 

Theft cases:

2019 – 886 cases

2020 – 352 cases

2021 – 150 cases

2022 – 74 cases
