1077 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District, 943 Discharged Today

Pune, 17th July 2021: A total of 1077 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 943 people were discharged from hospitals. 11 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, there are 10,083 active patients in the district and 5597 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4486 are in home isolation. Out of 1077 new cases, 321 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 243 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 62 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 17 in cantonments, and 434 in rural areas.

Among the 11 deaths, five were in PMC, two in PCMC, one in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), and three in rural areas. Out of 943 discharged patients, 432 were in PMC, 229 were in PCMC, 39 in municipal councils, 19 in cantonments,  and 224 in rural areas.
