1100 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 22,068 Vaccine Doses Administered

Pune, 25 July 2021: A total of 1100 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1153 people were discharged from hospitals. 11 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 22,068 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.

 

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9909 active patients in the district and 5360 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4549 are in home isolation. Out of 1100 new cases, 250 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 165 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 47 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 12 in cantonments and 626 in rural areas.

 

Among the 11 deaths, six were in PMC, two were in PCMC, and three were in rural areas. Out of 1153 discharged patients, 327 were in PMC, 174 were in PCMC, 64 were in municipal councils, 8 were in cantonments, and 580 were in rural areas.
