11,000 people from different states have arrived in Pune

Pune, June 7, 2020: Around 11,000 people have arrived in Pune city by train. After the announcement of the nationwide lockdown, many students, migrant labourers, and working-class have been stuck in different states. Although, the relaxation has allowed everyone to return to their hometowns.

However, these people who came to Pune include citizens from Delhi, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and southern states. Meanwhile, no disruption has been found so far. Those who have gone abroad for labour, tourism, other family reasons have been provided air and rail facilities to return to their state.

Rajendra Sarag, the spokesperson of the Pune District Collector’s office, said, “We have recommended Institutional quarantine to some of the people, for at least 14 days”, he further added, “some of them are quarantined at hotels as well, Also If any individual shows symptoms post-screening he is then admitted to nearest hospital facility available.”
