1127 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District, 864 Discharged Today
Pune, 16th July 2021: A total of 1127 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 864 people were discharged from hospitals. 10 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9960 active patients in the district and 5799 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4161 are in home isolation. Out of 1127 new cases, 283 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 221 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 101 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 08 in cantonments, and 514 in rural areas.
Among the 10 deaths, six were in PMC, three in PCMC, and one in rural areas. Out of 864 discharged patients, 268 were in PMC, 163 were in PCMC, 91 in municipal councils, 7 in cantonments, and 335 in rural areas.
