115 New Aadhaar Registration Sets Allotted Across Pune District Through Official Lottery
Pune, 13th June 2025: In a move to strengthen citizen services, 115 new Aadhaar registration sets have been approved for Pune district following a public lottery process held on June 12 under the chairmanship of the District Collector.
The Collectorate had invited applications for establishing Aadhaar Registration Centers in connection with the distribution of new Aadhaar sets. A total of 356 applications were received, out of which 272 were found eligible after scrutiny. A transparent lottery was then conducted in the presence of all eligible applicants.
Area-wise Allotment:
Rural Pune: 62 out of 65 declared vacant centers allotted
Municipal Council Areas: All 7 vacant centers allotted
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC): All 22 vacant centers allotted
Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC): 24 out of 28 vacant centers allotted
All approvals are subject to the applicants meeting the stipulated terms and conditions.
The Aadhaar set distribution draw was conducted in the presence of key officials, including Additional District Collector Suhas Mapari, Deputy District Collector and Aadhaar Nodal Officer Pallavi Ghatge, and other members of the Aadhaar Set Distribution Committee.
The allotment aims to increase accessibility to Aadhaar registration and updates, particularly in rural and semi-urban regions of the district.
