1250 New Covid Positive Cases Today, Over 50 Lakh People Vaccinated Till Now In Pune District
Pune, 8th July 2021: A total of 1250 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1276 people were discharged from hospitals. 12 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 10,075 active patients in the district and 5607 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4468 are in home isolation. Out of 1250 new cases, 331 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 269 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 75 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 6 in cantonments and 569 in rural areas.
Among the 12 deaths, eight were in PMC, three in PCMC, and one in rural areas. Out of 1276 discharged patients, 253 were in PMC, 238 were in PCMC, 89 in municipal councils, 14 in cantonments, and 682 in rural areas.
