In Pune city too, there are small and big slums in many areas, which are densely populated and have many COVID19 cases. The only exception was the Janta Vasahat. Till Friday, not a single positive corona patient was found in this slum which has a population of about 70,000 and spread over 100 acres. The vigilance shown by the residents, the self-discipline and the warriors of the Janata Vatahat Kriti Samiti who are fighting to prevent the spread of these viruses in their area, had made it a topic of discussion throughout the city.
The number of people with daily wages is high in the Janata Vasahat. The biggest relief to these citizens during the lockdown was that the Janata Vasahat Kriti Samiti offered a helping hand to the citizens. The residents seemed to be following the rules strictly. In this way the colony was kept safe.
