143 fresh COVID patients detected in Pune city today, 119 discharged

Pune, June 9, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 119 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 143 new patients were detected while 12 patients died. Today swab samples of 1697 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 8205 out of which 5304 have been cured while 403 have died. There are still 2498 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 189 critical patients out of which 37 are on ventilator support. Till now 62,495 people have been tested in Pune city.

 

Among the 12 deaths, 5 were women and 7 man, all of them were aged between 45 to 78 years. They were residents of Bibewadi, Kothrud, Erandwane Kothrud, Sinhgad Road, Sadashiv Peth,  Parvati, BH Police Chowk, Navi Peth ,Kondhwa, Sahakar Nagar ,Kranti Mitra Mandal, Yerwada.

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 2259 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 90,787 . Also, 120 people died while 1663 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 44,849 active cases. The total death toll stands at 3289, while 42,638  patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 266,598 across the country. Out of this, 129,313 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 7471 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 129,813 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
