148th NDA Convocation: 336 Cadets Graduate, Including 17 from Friendly Foreign Nations
Pune, 29th May 2025: The Convocation Ceremony of 148th course of National Defence Academy was held at the Habibullah Hall on 29th May 2025. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Prof (Dr) Poonam Tandon, Vice Chancellor, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Guest was received by Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh, AVSM, NM, Commandant, NDA.
The academic report of Spring Term – 2025 was presented by Prof OP Shukla, Principal, NDA. The Chief Guest in her convocation address congratulated the Cadets of the passing out course for successful completion of their grueling training from one of the premier training academies of world repute. She congratulated and conveyed her sincere gratitude to all the parents who motivated their wards to join this prestigious ‘Tri Services’ training institute of the Indian Armed Forces.
Today, a total of 336 Cadets are passing out from NDA, 228 Cadets were conferred with the prestigious Bachelors degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, which includes 84 Cadets in the Science stream, 85 Cadets in the Computer Science stream and 59 Cadets in the Arts stream. 17 cadets from Friendly Foreign Countries were also awarded degrees during the Convocation Ceremony. In addition, the B Tech stream, comprising 108 cadets of Navy and Air Force cadets also received their ‘three years course completion’ certificates. These Naval and Air Force cadets will be conferred with their B Tech degree after completion of another year’s training at their respective Pre-Commissioning Training Academies i.e. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, respectively.
