Pune 26th feb 2024: India secured their 17th consecutive Test series win at home by defeating England by 5 wickets in the fourth Test, thus clinching an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series. Despite a shaky start, India successfully chased down the target of 192 runs in the fourth Test encounter. While India faced initial setbacks, a remarkable partnership between Shubman Gill and Dhruv Jurel turned the tide in their favor, securing victory against England. Despite a challenging start to their chase with the early dismissals of Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal, India found themselves at 120 for 5, needing 72 runs more for victory. However, an unbroken stand between Gill and Jurel, with the latter playing only his second Test match, steered India to victory.
