18 Goals, One Player: Shourya Menge’s Historic Performance Stuns Hockey Tournament
Pune, 30th January 2025: St. Patrick’s H.S recorded the highest tournament scoreline, which was complemented by an 18-goal feat by Shourya Menge in Week-3 of the hockey event of the St. Vincent’s Junior League 2024-25.
At the St. Vincent’s ground, on Saturday, St. Patrick’s ‘A’ went on a rampage registering a 21-0 win over St. Patrick’s ‘B’ with Shourya scoring most of the scoreline singlehandedly. The other goals came via Pranav Ahir.
Meanwhile, Loyola H.S ‘B scored two wins. Loyola ‘B’ first rode on Skyler Susanithan (2) and Rajveer Singh to oust Loyola H.S ‘A’ 3-0. Later, Loyola ‘B’ downed St. Patrick’s ‘B’ 13-0 after Skyler Susanithan (5), Mark Das and Sairaj Shinde (4 each) joined hands in scoring the goals.
St. Vincent’s ‘A’, later, downed St. Vincent’s ‘B’ 4-1. Shardul Kamble (2), Aaren Silva and Clyde Andrews netted for the winners, while Pranav Gandle reduced. Later, St. Vincent’s ‘A’ drew with St. Patrick’s 1-1. Clyde Andrews netted for St. Vincent’s and Shourya Menge for St. Patricks.
In other matches, Vincent’s ‘B’ had Pranav Gandle score to down Loyola ‘A’. Meanwhile, Patrick’s ‘B’ won 7-0 against Dastur. Praneet Basutkar
(5) and Joel Patekar( 2) scored.
