181 Trainees Of Direct Entry Engineering Mechanic Successfully Complete Professional Training At INS Shivaji
Lonavala, 6th March 2023: 181 trainees of Direct Entry Engineering Mechanic (DEME) comprising trainees from the Indian Navy, Coast Guard and three trainees from friendly foreign countries on successful completion of 24 weeks of professional training at INS Shivaji passed out on 04 Mar 23. During their rigorous training, the trainees were exposed to the operation and maintenance of engineering equipment fitted on Naval platforms.
Sports, adventure activities and visits to leading industrial units were some of the highlights of the course. The Passing-out-Parade (PoP) was reviewed by Commodore Mohit Goel, NM Commanding Officer, INS Shivaji, who complimented the passing out course and exhorted them to continue their tryst for knowledge.
Aashish Panwar LOG I (STD) was adjudged ‘First in the Overall Order of Merit’ and was awarded FOC-IN-C (South) rolling trophy. Chetan Sharma, DEME, was adjudged ‘Best Sportsman’ of the course and awarded Commodore’s Rolling Trophy.
