10 DEC 2018 PUNE – Taking a serious stand over the encroachments near railway tracks, the Pune railway division has sent notices to 186 persons who have built their huts and shops near railway lines. They have been aksed to remove encroachments by December 15, else action will be taken against them.
Officials said that earlier action was taken near Pimpri railway station. Similarly they are trying to remove encroachments near Shivajinagar railway station. The notices are being sent for the last one year but people are not removing their huts and shops, hence this time they might be forcefully removed from there.
Pune division spokesperson Manoj Jhawar said that notices have sent to people and they have been asked to remove their illegal huts and shops from the railways premises.
