2024 Unveils Six Exciting Electric SUVs in Indian Market

Pune, 22nd November 2023: In 2024, six new electric SUVs are set to debut in the Indian market, featuring a completely fresh architecture, impressive range, and advanced features. The first on the list is the Tata Punch Electric, anticipated to launch early next year, boasting enhanced design and features compared to its predecessor, as observed during testing on Indian roads.

Media reports suggest a potential range of 400 to 450 kilometers for the upcoming Tata Punch Electric, although no official confirmation from the company has been provided. The vehicle is expected to offer excellent features, with more details anticipated to be unveiled in the near future.

The XUV 400 EV claims the second spot among the upcoming electric SUVs. Mahindra plans to introduce an updated version of its XUV400 electric with increased features and a substantial touchscreen infotainment system, operated with ADAS technology. Testing has been underway on Indian roads, although no changes in its battery option are expected with this update.

The third on the list is the Tata Harrier EV, set to launch in 2024. Following the launch of the Safari and Harrier facelift, Tata Motors is preparing to unveil the electric avatar of the Harrier, spotted multiple times on Indian roads. The Harrier Electric is projected to offer a range exceeding 500 km and will be built on an all-electric architecture.

Mahindra’s XUV700, expected to be released as XUV.e8, is the fourth upcoming electric SUV. This electric variant, based on the INGLO platform, is anticipated to undergo significant changes, including a range of 500 to 550 kilometers. Although spy images confirm these alterations, the company is yet to provide official confirmation.

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Tata Curve, another electric SUV, in 2024. Unveiled at Auto Expo 2023, the Tata Curve Electric is expected to boast a range surpassing 500 km, offering advanced features, ADAS technology, and luxury features.

Maruti Suzuki is set to enter the electric vehicle market in early 2025 with the Maruti Suzuki eVX. While details are unconfirmed, it is expected to have a range of 500 km, showcasing new design language and exciting features, as seen during testing on Indian roads.
