293 fresh COVID patients detected in Pune city today, 150 discharged

Pune, June 16, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 150 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 293 new patients were detected while 11 patients died. Today swab samples of 2547 people were collected for COVID tests.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 10183 out of which 6596 have been cured while 469 have died. There are still 3118 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 213 critical patients out of which 41 are on ventilator support. Till now 76206 people have been tested in Pune city.

Across Maharashtra, there were 2701 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 113,445 . Also, 81 deaths among COVID19 patients today and Additionally 1328 old deaths reported today, also 1802 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 50,044 active cases. The total death toll stands at 5627, while 57,851 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 343,091 across the country. Out of this, 180,012 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 9,900 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 153,178 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
