Pune, June 16, 2020: With the addition of 442 fresh Coronavirus positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 12,685 in Pune district. Also, 203 patients got discharged from hospitals while 16 people died.

 

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 12,685 patients 8125 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 527 people have died. There are still 4033 active patients undergoing treatment including 294 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 116,594 people have been tested in the district.

 

The 12,685 patients include 10300 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 1274 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 448 from Pune Cantonment, 89 from Khadki Cantonment, 4 from Dehuroad Cantonment and 570 from Pune rural areas. In the Pune rural areas, there are 10 from Baramati town, 13 from Baramati rural, 77 from Daund town, 1 from Jejuri, 9 from Talegaon Dabhade, 6 from Chakan, 5 from Saswad, 2 from Alandi, 3 from Lonavala,1 from Shirur town, 1 from Junnar town,  12 from Indapur town, 161 from Haveli, 25 from Shirur, 32  from Junnar rural, 38 from Khed, 27 from Mulshi, 33 from Velha, 17 from Bhor, 5 from Indapur rural, 4 from Daund rural, 29 from Maval, 15 from Purandar and 44 from Ambegaon.

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 2701 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 113,445 . Also, 81 deaths among COVID19 patients today and Additionally 1328 old deaths reported today, also 1802 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 50,044 active cases. The total death toll stands at 5627, while 57,851 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 343,091 across the country. Out of this, 180,012 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 9,900 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 153,178 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
