3 Pune youths kidnapped by Naxalites in Chhatisgarh

Punekar News's photo.Pune, January 3 : Three college students from Pune who had left to tour Naxal affected regions of Maharashtra, Chhatisgarh and Odisha on a peace mission, have been reportedly kidnapped by Naxalites from jungles of Chhatisgarh.

The youngsters – Adarsh Patil (21) from Karad in Satara district, Vikas Walake (21) from Pune and Shrikrushna Shewale (21) from Patan in Satara district of Maharashtra – were on study tour on cycle and wanted to meet the people and understand Bharat within India.

Though there is no demand from Naxalites in return of the youths, local police said that the youths have gone missing since December 31, when their mobile phone’s last location was in Basaguda area of Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh.

Meanwhile police have stopped anti-naxal operations in the area till the boys are found.
