Pune, June 15, 2020: With the addition of 318 fresh Coronavirus positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 12,243 in Pune district. Also, 303 patients got discharged from hospitals while 13 people died.

 

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 12,243 patients 7922 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 511 people have died. There are still 3810 active patients undergoing treatment including 269 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 113,270 people have been tested in the district.

 

The 12,243 patients include 10021 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 1177 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 442 from Pune Cantonment, 65 from Khadki Cantonment, 4 from Dehuroad Cantonment and 534 from Pune rural areas. In the Pune rural areas, there are 10 from Baramati town, 13 from Baramati rural, 77 from Daund town, 1 from Jejuri, 7 from Talegaon Dabhade, 6 from Chakan, 3 from Saswad, 2 from Alandi, 2 from Lonavala,1 from Shirur town, 1 from Junnar town,  3 from Indapur town, 144 from Haveli, 25 from Shirur, 32  from Junnar rural, 35 from Khed, 27 from Mulshi, 33 from Velha, 17 from Bhor, 5 from Indapur rural, 3 from Daund rural, 29 from Maval, 14 from Purandar and 44 from Ambegaon.

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 2786 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 110,744 . Also, 178 people died while 5071 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 50,554 active cases. The total death toll stands at 4218, while 56,049 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 332,424 across the country. Out of this, 169,797 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 9,520 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 153,106 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
