350 fresh COVID patients detected in Pune city today, 157 discharged

Pune, June 19, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 157 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 350 new patients were detected while 6 patients died. Today swab samples of 2676 people were collected for COVID tests.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 11465 out of which 7063 have been cured while 493 have died. There are still 3909 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 265 critical patients out of which 53 are on ventilator support. Till now 84187 people have been tested in Pune city.

Among the 6 deaths, four were men and two women, all between the age group of 50 to 66 years. They were from Parvati Darshan, Hadapsar, Dandekar Bridge, Kharadi, Katraj, and Laxmi Nagar.

Across Maharashtra, there were 3827 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 124,331 . Also, 142 people died while 1935 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 55,651 active cases. The total death toll stands at 5893, while 62,773 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 380,532 across the country. Out of this, 204,710 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 12,573 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 163,248 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
