3762 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District, 14 Deaths Reported
Pune, 31st January 2022: A total of 3762 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 7953 people were discharged from hospitals. 14 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 59,204 active patients in the district and 2317 of them are admitted to hospitals while 56,887 are in home isolation. Out of 3762 new cases, 2056 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 931 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 149 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 29 in cantonments, and 597 in rural areas.
Among the 14 deaths, nine were in PMC, four were in PCMC, and one was in rural areas. Out of 7953 discharged patients, 3263 were in PMC, 2942 were in PCMC, 378 were in municipal councils, 172 were in cantonments, and 1198 were in rural areas.
