389 fresh COVID patients detected in Pune city today, 183 discharged
Pune, June 20, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 183 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 389 new patients were detected while 11 patients died. Today swab samples of 2684 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 11854 out of which 7264 have been cured while 504 have died. There are still 4086 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 273 critical patients out of which 52 are on ventilator support. Till now 86871 people have been tested in Pune city. Among the 11 deaths, nine were men and two women, all between the age group of 40 to 84 years.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 395,048 across the country. Out of this, 213,830 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 12,948 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 168,269 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
