38TH SENIOR NATIONAL ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIP AT ARMY SPORTS INSTITUTION, PUNE
Army Sports Institute under the aegis of Services Sports Control Board is conducting the 25th Indian Round, 38th Recurve & 14thCompound, Senior National Archery Championships on behalf of Archery Association of India with effect from 05-12 April 2018. The competition will involve participation of nearly 890 Archers in Men & Women Categories from 38 teams of various States/Units or equivalent Archery Associations. The venue is Archery Outdoor Range Army Sports Institute, Mundwa Road, Ghorpadi Pune.
This Championship will be conducted for three events i.e Indian Round, Recurve & Compound events. This Championship has been designated as selection trial event for selection of Archers in Men, Women & Mix Category for Asian Games 2018 in Recurve & Compound Events only (Indian Round not part of Asian Games) by Archery Association of India. More than 30 International Archers including 10 Olympians namely Subedar Tarundeep Rai, Mr Jayanta Talukdar, Mr Rahul Banerjee, Mr Mangal Singh Champia Mr Atanu Dass, Ms Deepika Kumari, Ms L Bombela Devi, Ms Laxmi Rani Majhi, Ms Rimel Beruly and Ms V. Preneta are likely to participate in the Recurve event.
Finals for important events will be held on 06 April 18 for Indian Round, 09 April 18 forRecurve and 12 April 18 for Compound event. Archery Enthusiasts of Pune are welcome to come & witness the events on all days.
