526 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 29,017 Vaccine Doses Administered

Pune, 2 August 2021: A total of 526 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 744 people were discharged from hospitals. 10 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 29,017 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.

 

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9292 active patients in the district and 5108 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4184 are in home isolation. Out of 526 new cases, 142 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 115 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 38 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 3 in cantonments, and 228 in rural areas.

Among the 10 deaths, five were in PMC, one was in PCMC, one was in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), and three were in rural areas. Out of 744 discharged patients, 243 were in PMC, 123 were in PCMC, 60 were in municipal councils, 07 were in cantonments, and 311 were in rural areas.
