Pune, 15th June 2022: Pandharpur Wari was not conducted for the last two years due to the rising cases of Covid-19. There is a possibility of a big crowd at Pandharpur as the Ashadi Wari will be conducted this year after a gap of two whole years.

The number of Warkari devotees going to Pandharpur from the Pune district is large in numbers. As Wari will be held after two years, Maharashtra State Road Corporation (MSRTC) has made proper preparations for the convenience of Warkaris. Accordingly, 530 buses will be sent from the Pune division to Pandharpur this year.

Also, 60 buses will be released for internal transport from Pune to Dehu to Alandi and Pune. Extra buses of MSRTC will also be released for devotees returning on foot. Arrangements are being made to welcome Warkari devotees at various places this year.

If a group of 40 Warkaris from the same village book an ST bus, then ST will go to their village and drop off passengers at Pandharpur. ST will drop them to their hometown again. ST has made it possible for Warkari passengers to travel directly from home to Pandharpur. The ST officials have appealed to take advantage of this facility.

“Assuming that the number of devotees is likely to increase this year, 530 buses will be sent from Pune for Pandharpur. Pandharpur wari was not conducted for the last two years due to Covid-19. For the convenience of Warkari passengers, ST Corporation has arranged a bus,” informed MSRTC’s Pune Divisional Officer Dnyaneshwar Ranavare.
