55 New Centres for Installation of HSRP: Pune RTO
Pune, 6th March 2025: The Pune Sub-Regional Transport Office (Pune RTO) has increased the number of centres for the installation of High-Security Number Plates (HSRP) on old vehicles. With the deadline fast approaching, the waiting period for registration has exceeded 30 days.
To meet the demand and ensure timely installation, the RTO has approved 55 new centres.
The deadline for HSRP installation is 31 March 2025, and with the growing number of vehicle registrations, the waiting period has reached 30 days. To shorten this waiting period to 8–10 days, the Pune RTO has officially approved 55 additional centres. This move will enable vehicle owners to have their HSRP number plates installed within 8 days of registration.

Registration Process:
Visit the official Maharashtra Transport Department website and go to the Book My HSRP portal.
Select the type of plate according to your vehicle.
Fill in the vehicle details, including registration number, chassis number, engine number, and owner details.
Upload scanned copies of the required documents.
Pay the fee online.
Book an appointment for the installation of the HSRP number plate.
On the scheduled date, visit the fitment centre with your vehicle and the required documents.
Alternatively, you can opt for home delivery of the plate.
