6 workers dead in Kondhwa bakery fire
Pune, December 30 – In a tragic incident, six workers of a bakery in Kondhwa died of burn injuries after a major fire engulfed it in the wee hours of Friday.
The incident took place at Bakes N Cake shop near Talab Masjid on Kondhwa road.
The workers were sleeping inside the bakery, which was reportedly locked by the owner from outside. Therefore they could not escape.
Pune Fire Brigade officials said that they had received call about the fire at 4.42 am. After the fire was controlled , the six persons were found with severe burn injuries. They were rushed to hospital but they succumbed to injuries.
