600 women to tie Rakhis to Army Jawans in Pune

Pune: Dhruv Defence Motivation Center, a city-based organization which motivates kids to choose defence as a career choice, will celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Army jawans in the city.

About 600 women will tie Rakhis to jawans at four different locations on August 18. The program will organized @ 10 am at the Aundh Cantonment,  Lulla Nagar @ 10 am, Bombay Engineering Group & Centre @ 11 am, and Milka Singh Sports complex @ 12 noon.

“Raksha Bandhan is a festival which can provide way for answers to many human problems. The festival of Raksha Bandhan holds a special importance in our lives. On this day, Sisters tie Rakhis on the wrists of their brothers, and brothers’ promise to do Raksha of their sisters. But the Sainiks who are already doing this throughout the year for all 24 hours are to be remembered by every civilian lady on this occasion. Our Idea is to celebrate a special and one of its kinds “Raksha Bandhan”, festival on 18th August. We are planning to involve more than 500 womem/girls in traditional attire to celebrate Rakhi occasion”, said Rupali Saikhedkar, director, Dhruv Defence Motivation Center.

She further added, “We want to do awareness about our military work in every difficult day to day problems faced by common people. Not only that the soldiers guard us for 24*7 and 365 days but they are always been of help in every internal problems faced by the country be it floods, earthquakes or dealing with insurgency and law and order problems”.

It’s now the civilian’s duty to remember them, appreciate them and felicitate them and honor them with our love and care and thank them. In this way one can successfully endeavour to enhance interactions and relations between civilians and the defence forces.

Dhruv Defence Motivation Center is an organization established by Mr. Subodh Saikhedkar and Mrs. Rupali Saikhedkar who are promoting defence as a career in Kids and also giving “commando training course” to kids to face the critical situations in life.

“We build patriotism in our younger generation. It is a step towards making the young generation strong, fearless, confident and self-sufficient by training them on self defence techniques”, Rupali added.
