6110 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District, 1638 Discharged Today

Pune, 11th December 2022: A total of 6110 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1638 people were discharged from hospitals. 01 person succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

Today, A total of 79,773 COVID vaccine doses were administered in the Pune district today taking the total vaccination doses to date to 1,58,59,378. About 91,23,627 people have got the first dose while 67,21,684 people have got two doses  and 14,067 people have got precaution doses.

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 32,672 active patients in the district and 1504 of them are admitted to hospitals while 31,168 are in home isolation. Out of 6110 new cases, 3459 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 1706 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 121 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 113 in cantonments, and 711 in rural areas.

Two death were reported in PMC areas. Out of 865 discharged patients, 711 were in PMC, 43 were in PCMC, 11 were in municipal councils, 28 were in cantonments, and 72 were in rural areas.
