65-Year-Old Man Booked for Obscene Behaviour with Woman Passenger on Pune Metro
Pune, 10th September 2025: The Vishrambaug police have registered a case against a 65-year-old man for allegedly misbehaving with a woman passenger on the Pune Metro. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon near the Mahatma Phule Mandai metro station.
According to police, the complainant was travelling by metro around 2 pm when the accused allegedly stared at her, made obscene gestures, and attempted to take her photographs using a mobile phone. The woman immediately alerted metro security personnel, who detained the passenger and brought him to the Mandai police post.
The accused, originally from Muzaffarnagar in Bihar, has been booked under charges of obscene behaviour. Police confirmed that a notice has been served to him in connection with the case.
Assistant Police Inspector Waghmare from Vishrambaug police station is investigating the matter.
