658 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District, 881 Discharged Today
Pune, 5th July 2021: A total of 658 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 881 people were discharged from hospitals. 12 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 10,386 active patients in the district and 5890 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4496 are in home isolation. Out of 658 new cases, 150 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 161 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 51 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 8 in cantonments and 288 in rural areas.
Among the 12 deaths, five were in PMC, two in PCMC, and five in rural areas. Out of 881 discharged patients, 249 were in PMC, 37 were in PCMC, 66 in municipal councils, 4 in cantonments, and 525 in rural areas.
