7-Year-Old Girl From Pune Sets Guinness World Record In Limbo Skating
Pune, 29th July 2022: Deshna Nahar, a seven-year-old from Pune, has made it to the Guinness Book of Records for being the fastest person to skate under 20 cars at once. She also surpassed the record set by a 14-year-old Chinese teenager.
In a world-record-breaking stunt performed in Pune on April 16, Deshna skated beneath the 20 automobiles to complete the 193-foot stretch in 13:74 seconds. In 2015, a 14-year-old Chinese girl set the world record by finishing the same distance in 14:15 seconds.
On June 14, a representative of the Guinness Book of Records team presented the family with a formal certificate.
Aditya Nahar, Deshna’s father said, “Deshna discovered her love for skating. She’s been learning to skate for the past two years, and over the past six months, she’s been getting ready for this record in limbo skating. Her coach supported her a lot during the entire time. He encouraged her to do better.”
“For the past month, she has been practising for this record in her courses at Katraj Kondhwa Road. To train for the record, there was no space available. Although we found some spaces in malls, the authorities did not allow us to use them as a practice ground,” he continued.
He added, “I had built a practice track for her at my construction site in Katraj.”
Deshna has competed in numerous events throughout the nation, winning 40 medals and about 16 certificates in various skating contests.
