700 players for Deccan Gymkhana State level Under 13 basketball tournament from 9th May
Pune, May 8, 2023 – A total 700 players from various cities in the state will be seen in action at Deccan Gymkhana State level Under 13 basketball tournament which will be organized by Deccan Gymkhana Club in association with Maha Basketball Association and Pune Adhoc Committee and played at Deccan Gymkhana Club Basketball Courts from May 9 to 13, 2023.
Mr. Apoorva Sontakke, Secretary of Organizing Committee and Chandrasekhar Apte, Basketball Secretary of Deccan Club said that, A total 700 players from various cities including Pune, Nagpur, Auragabad, Mumbai, Nagar, Dhule, Nagpur, Solapur, Kolhapur, Satara, Parbhani will be seen in action in this event.
These competitions are being held after about 35 years. Due to the prevailing summer , these competitions will be held in two sessions in the morning from 6 to 9 am and in the evening from 5 to 8 pm. Accommodation for boys has been arranged in Vimalabai Garware School and accommodation for girls in Maharshi Karve Women’s Education Institute.
The winner of this event will be selected to represent Maharashtra State Basketball Team at the Basketball National tournament.
The winner and runner up will get a trophy, certificates and attractive prizes. Apart from that Man of the Match player, Most valuable Player and Upcoming Player will get medal certificates and attractive prizes.
