718 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 65,283 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 26 July 2021: A total of 718 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 834 people were discharged from hospitals. 10 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 65,283 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9783 active patients in the district and 5217 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4566 are in home isolation. Out of 718 new cases, 139 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 142 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 56 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 20 in cantonments and 361 in rural areas.
Among the 10 deaths, five were in PMC, two were in PCMC, two were in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), and one was in rural areas. Out of 834 discharged patients, 284 were in PMC, 163 were in PCMC, 76 were in municipal councils, 12 were in cantonments, and 299 were in rural areas.
