728 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 61,668 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 6 September 2021: A total of 728 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1332 people were discharged from hospitals. 12 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 61,668 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 8908 active patients in the district and 4532 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4376 are in home isolation. Out of 728 new cases, 165 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 141 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 40 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 04 in cantonments, and 378 in rural areas.
Among the 12 deaths, four were in PMC, one was in PCMC, and seven were in rural areas. Out of 1332 discharged patients, 252 were in PMC, 246 were in PCMC, 111 were in municipal councils, 06 were in cantonments, and 717 were in rural areas.
