Pune: Ornaments Worth Rs 54 Lakhs Stolen From Two Houses In Sangamwadi

Sangamwadi, 6th September 2021: Unidentified thieves broke into the houses of two nephews of former MLA Rambhau Moze and decamped with one kg gold jewellery worth Rs 53.46 lakh.

Based on a complaint from realtor Harishchandra alias Raju Manohar Moze (49), a resident of Sangamwadi, Yerwada police station has registered an FIR. The incident took place between September 3 and 5.

According to police, Raju Moze and his brother Mohan Moze had locked their houses and gone out of town on September 3. The theft came to light when they returned on Sunday evening. The thieves had entered the homes by breaking the door locks. Gold, silver jewellery and watches, totally worth Rs 40.2 lakh, was stolen from the locker in the bedroom in the house of Raju Moze.

From Mohan Manohar Moze’s house, the thieves have stolen cash, gold jewellery, expensive watches, totally worth Rs 13.26 lakhs.

Police Sub Inspector Sameer Karpe is further investigating the case.
