728 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District, 755 Discharged Today
Pune, 28 June 2021: A total of 728 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 755 people were discharged from hospitals. 15 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9500 active patients in the district and 5507 of them are admitted to hospitals while 3993 are in home isolation. Out of 728 new cases, 157 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 185 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 54 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), six in cantonments and 326 in rural areas.
Among the 15 deaths, seven were in PMC, three in PCMC, one in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), and four in rural areas. Out of 755 discharged patients, 280 were in PMC, 279 were in PCMC, 32 in municipal councils, 11 in cantonments, and 153 in rural areas.
