755 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 96,315 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 20 August 2021: A total of 755 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 920 people were discharged from hospitals. 09 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 96,315 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 8268 active patients in the district and 4441 of them are admitted to hospitals while 3827 are in home isolation. Out of 755 new cases, 182 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 167 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 46 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 01 in cantonments, and 359 in rural areas.
Among the 09 deaths, six were in PMC, one was in PCMC, and one was in rural areas. Out of 920 discharged patients, 216 were in PMC, 148 were in PCMC, 53 were in municipal councils, 08 were in cantonments, and 495 were in rural areas.
