781 new COVID patients in Pune city, 1822 discharged today

Pune, Aug 3, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1822 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 781 new patients were detected while 18 people died today. Today swab samples of 4604 people were collected for COVID tests.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 58,304 out of which 39,939 have been cured while 1384 have died. There are still 16,981 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 633 critical patients out of which 389 are on ventilator support.

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 23,682 out of which 16,206 have been cured while 395 have died. 3895 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 316 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC hospitals, while 94 have died and 1043 have been cured.

Across Maharashtra, 8968 fresh COVID19 cases were reported today while 10,221 people got discharged from hospitals today. Also, 266 deaths have been reported in the state today. The total number of positive cases is now 4,50,196 including 2,87,030 discharged and 15,842 deaths. There are 1,47,018 active cases. The recovery rate in Maharashtra is 63.76 % now.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,803,695 across the country. Out of this, 1,186,203 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 38,135 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 579,357  active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country. Till date, two crore 2 lakh 2 thousand 858 sample tests have been done. The recovery rate is 65.44 percent and the death rate is 2.13 percent.
