8 new Corona cases in Pimpri Chinchwad today, total tally reach 195

Pimpri, May 16, 2020: There were eight new Coronavirus positive patients were reported in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) area today taking the total tally to 195. Two patients were discharged from the hospital after they recovered fully from COVID. The new patients were detected in Chinchwad station, Pimple Saudagar, Phugewadi and Nigdi-Rupinagar area.

Now some parts of Rupinagar and Pimple Saudagar have been sealed. According to PCMC, out of 195 patients, 119 have been cured and discharged while 4 have died. There are still 72 patients undergoing treatment in hospitals. Also, out of 28 Pune residents undergoing treatment here, 8 have died while 10 have been cured. There are still 10 active patients from Pune.

The sealed areas of Pimple Saudagar are Sai Paradise – internal road adjacent to Sai Saheb Society – New Poona Bakery – Shiv Sai Lane Road and Panchdurga Co-operative Housing Society. The sealed parts in Rupinagar area include Siddhivinayak Ganpati Mandir – Minara Masjid – Mauli Medical – Hamraj Tailors – Rupinagar Post Office – Rupinagar Road.
