921 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 74,761 Vaccine Doses Administered

Pune, 24 July 2021: A total of 921 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 857 people were discharged from hospitals. 11 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 74,761 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.

 

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9973 active patients in the district and 5306 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4667 are in home isolation. Out of 921 new cases, 181 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 156 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 78 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 7 in cantonments and 499 in rural areas.

 

Among the 11 deaths, five were in PMC, five were in PCMC, and one was in rural areas. Out of 857 discharged patients, 331 were in PMC, 164 were in PCMC, 75 were in municipal councils, 8 were in cantonments, and 279 were in rural areas.
