960 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 56,266 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 27 July 2021: A total of 960 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1406 people were discharged from hospitals. 10 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 56,266 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9326 active patients in the district and 5004 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4322 are in home isolation. Out of 960 new cases, 216 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 189 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 65 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 11 in cantonments and 479 in rural areas.
Among the 11 deaths, six were in PMC, one was in PCMC, and four were in rural areas. Out of 1406 discharged patients, 304 were in PMC, 431 were in PCMC, 114 were in municipal councils, 15 were in cantonments, and 542 were in rural areas.
