Soon Every City In Maharashtra To Have Women Police Stations: Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil

Pune, 7th November 2021: Maharashtra State Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil today said that there is a huge increase in the number of drugs in the cities up to the taluka level and we have to do our best to eradicate it. From this point of view, we have given instructions through the Home Department. There is a need to eradicate this and the state government is taking appropriate steps in this regard. ”

He was speaking at the felicitation program of Rupali Chakankar who was recently appointed as the Chairperson of the State Women’s Commission.

He also said that the Disha Act has been under discussion for the last two years. Also, cases of atrocities against women or young girls are being perpetrated by their acquaintances. Such information has come to light and its proportion is 95 percent. He said that in the future, every parent needs to communicate with their children and know their feelings.

At the same time, he further said that incidents of violence against women are on a large scale. The state government is taking several steps in that direction.

As part of this, the state government will soon announce that there will be a police station in every city in the state where women can lodge their complaints and all the work will be done by women police officers, he said.
