Pune: 12 People Including 2 Policeman Beat Lawyer Over Bursting Firecrackers
Mohammadwadi, 8th November 2021: A mob of 12 people, including two policemen, broke into a lawyer’s house and beat him up after he asked them not to burst firecrackers in front of his house. The incident took place at Mohammadwadi at 10 pm on Friday.
A case has been registered against Shivaji Mane, Kaustub Jadhav, Baburao Jadhav, six women and some others. Adv. Manoj Mane resident of Mauli Niwas, Heaven Park, Mahmandwadi has filed the complaint.
Meanwhile, based on a complaint from a 37-year-old woman a case has been registered against Adv. Mane and his wife for allegedly entering the house and threatening.
Both cases are registered with Wanowrie police station under Pune city police.
According to the police, some children were bursting firecrackers in front of the entrance of Adv Mane’s house at around 10 pm on Friday. He asked them to burst firecrackers somewhere else. In a fit of rage, a woman threw a steel bucket at him and also abused him.
Police reached there after the incident. However, the accused person broke into the house of the complainant lawyer and threatened to kill him.
Baburao Jadhav and Kaustubh Jadhav are both police personnel. Meanwhile, a woman has filed a complaint against Adv. Mane and his wife allegedly abused the children and threatened her.
