Cocaine Case: Celebrity Fitness Coach Musavi And Nigerian Accused In Pune Police Custody Till Jan 27

Camp, 23rd January 2022: A court has extended the police custody remand of accused Mohammed Musavi (38) and his Nigerian accomplice Chikwu Jekwu Reuben (36) in connection with possession of 23 grams narcotic drug cocaine.

They were arrested by a team of Lashkar police station from Synagogue Street in Camp in the wee hours of Saturday. Police had seized the cocaine worth Rs 4.6 lakh, two four-wheelers and two mobile phones, totally worth Rs 15.29 lakh.

Senior Police Inspector Ashok Kadam, in-charge of Lashkar police station, told PunekarNews.in, “The court has remanded the accused to police custody till January 27. We are investigating to find if they have any accomplices and from where the cocaine was obtained.”

He added, “Musavi is a fitness instructor while Reuben, who hails from Nigeria, has come to India on a business visa. He resides in Nalasopara in the Thane district and had come to Pune to sell the drug when we caught them. Musavi resides in Padamji Park area.”

Based on a complaint from PSI Akshay Sonawane, an FIR has been registered against Musavi and Reuben for offences under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
