Anuradha: Budding entrepreneur of Handloom Business
Anuradha has been an entrepreneur by chance. She launched Anukriti in 2013 and made a humble beginning. This business was a part of her passion and not a profession she designed for herself. Her business grew as the ecosystem around her drove it. And all this while, Anuradha has kept social responsibility as the core of the business model. She is a homemaker turned entrepreneur; her greatest satisfaction comes from promoting Indian handicrafts & handlooms and popularizing them. Even during Covid, the business only expanded, and so did the team mainly comprising women from poor backgrounds.
Her biggest challenge is to balance the expectations at home and help the business grow. Finding time for herself is often a challenge. However, she feels her family is her biggest strength as it allows her to overcome challenges. Besides, driving her passion gives her energy.
