Pune Police Raids Blue Shack And Bottle Forest Restaurants For Selling Hookah

Mundhwa, 17th July 2022: The Anti-Narcotics Cell of Pune City Police conducted raids at restaurants Bottle Forest and Blue Shack in Mundhwa.

for serving flavoured tobacco hookah. The cops have filed cases against 10 persons and seized materials worth Rs 78,300.

As per the FIR registered at Mundhwa police station, the owners of Bottle Forest identified as Rohit Kisan (29), Devram Mangilal Jain (32), Saroj Lalmukhiya Kumar (19), Govind Surendra Mukhia (19) and Pawan Mukhia Joginder (22) were allegedly operating an illegal hookah bar and selling flavoured tobacco hookah. Materials worth Rs 33,000 were seized from the restaurant.

On the other hand, a case has been registered against Blue Shack’s Abhay Diwakar Mishra (41), Ashok Kumar Gaud (22), Golu Nihari Rajkumar (20), Babu Kalu Shaikh (28) and Bharat Uttamlal Kamat (39). They too were found to be running an illegal hookah bar and supplying tobacco flavoured hookah products. Materials worth Rs 45,000 was seized from their possession.

The accused have been booked for offences under relevant sections of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Maharashtra Amendment) Act 2018.
