Pune, 3rd October 2022: Heaping praise on the ‘never-say-die’ attitude shown by noted city-based radiologist Dr Arun Kinare, Dr S B Mujumdar, Chancellor, Symbiosis International University said that his book is testimony to the fact that tough times don’t last but tough men do.

Dr Mujumdar on Sunday launched Dr Kinare’s book ‘Diary Of A Doctor Patient’ at the Symbiosis Vishwabhawan, which is based on the radiologist’s personal experiences of fighting dreaded illnesses including cancer in the past 25 years, in presence of noted pediatrician Dr Anand Pandit, well-known Marathi playwright Satish Alekar and Dr Kinare’s wife Smita.

“Dr Kinare defeated illnesses including heart diseases for which he underwent bypass surgery, open heart surgery and angiography for 12-13 times. He then defeated cancer too and thus he defeated death multiple times. Thus his book is testimony to the fact that tough times don’t last but tough men do,” Dr Mujumdar said.

Dr Mujumdar also acknowledged the immense willpower and positivity shown by Dr Kinare, while fighting illnesses and said that immense positivity can score over medicines.

According to Dr Mujumdar, the book and Dr Kinare’s life also symbolizes the fact that one who doesn’t get bogged down or defeated, is not defeated.

“Dr Kinare loved life and this book has inspired me and will serve as an inspiration,” quipped Dr Mujumdar.

Alekar said Dr Kinare has penned the book from a neutral perspective, which has some of his humorous experiences and he also had the courage to write about experiences of public embarrassment.

“The book is based on experiences of a patient, who happens to be a doctor,” Alekar said.

Dr Anand Pandit said that the entire book was a reflection of a satisfied life.

Dr Kinare narrated his own experiences from the day when he had the first heart attack on January 4, 1997 and said the role of his colleagues, family members and doctors was instrumental in his tough journey.

Radiologist Dr Nega Agarwal moderated the program and expressed vote of thanks.
